12/1/2023 0 Comments Freelance clothing designerI am here to build the future of the fashion industry! If you’d like to learn more about me, give me a follow on Instagram & sign up to my monthly newsletter at the bottom of the page. Now live in Cheltenham in a pink house & have build trustworthy connections to other industry professionals growing the positive connections I longed for. Now I have work with close to 100 brands on projects big & small. Through teaching & working with independent brands Cambodia gave me the confidence to fully launch my services & my business has grown from there. Everyday was a learning experience about my own capabilities, it’s amazing to see what you can achieve when you commit to something new & believe in yourself. I started teaching fashion design at a local college. We fell in Love with Cambodia & through some new connections we managed to stay there. With my partner, we set off on a mini adventure, we did beach cleans in Bali, visited factories in Cambodia & travelled through India to see artisanal craft in action. I wanted to help create a ripple of change. Most of all I wanted to work with other likeminded people & purpose driven brands. I was scared of the unknown but wanted to reconnect with my work. I learned so much, but high street fashion can be a fickle business & I knew it was my time to create a new path. I am friendly, approachable & reliable, I’m look forward to working with you.įrom a young age I’ve always been creative, my favourite topics at school being art & textiles, so decided to go into fashion design.Īfter years of working in the industry, I understood that fast fashion was disconnected from my love for creating quality clothes. The design process has become second nature to me & I love helping clients get closer to launching their dream products. That is what I bring to all of my client work, plus a lot of positive energy & advice. It’s more than trends, its problem solving, attention to detail & understanding how to create garments that are fit for purpose & made to last. I’ve always had a passion for designing with real customers in mind. Now, I take pride in helping brands bridge the gap between initial ideas to finalised garments. I can highly recommend this book to anyone working as, or, thinking of working as a Freelance Fashion Designer. In 2018, I felt ready to leave my full time job to align my career & my passion for sustainability & offer my skills as a fashion design consultant. There’s no thrill quite like seeing your designs in real life, selling online & in-store. I honed my craft designing multi-products & graphics for commercial high street brands, such as, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, George Asda, the Landmark Group & Primark. I spent 7 years working with respected suppliers, learning from within, & travelling for research trips & factory visits. After graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, I moved to London to start my career.
