PODS has significantly cheaper rates for short moves, while 1-800-PACK-RAT is slightly less expensive for long distances. I was very close to choosing PODS or Pack Rat. I posted a few weeks back that I'm moving from Tampa Bay to New Orleans (700 miles). The costs for a sample move using PODS and 1-800-PACK-RAT are fairly comparable and both companies use secure steel containers. ![]()
